Anyone can achieve something once…

Anyone can achieve something once.

There is a naivety around it.

A newness.

A blissful ignorance.

But to achieve something twice…

That takes more.

Because all the fears come up in full force and with teeth.

All the hurt was there at first but now you’re fully aware of it.

The blissful ignorance is gone because now you do know what it takes.

It takes more…

But not more tasks, rather more of you.

Because you know more. You’ve learned and you’ve refined.

It’s not something you muster through and eke out.

It requires your whole self - the dreams and the fears.

Because it could hurt, but you do it anyways.
