Constantly focusing on what still needs to be fixed will not get you where you want to go faster.

Constantly focusing on what still needs to be fixed will not get you where you want to go faster.

Recognizing what is already working will.

High achievers are really freaking good at moving the finish line.

Hit the revenue goal?

Cool. What’s next?

Grow the business?

Great. But look at everything that still needs to be fixed.

Handle something that would have completely taken you out a year ago?

Yeah, but you still got upset about it…

We accomplish something and almost immediately minimize it because our attention has already moved to the next problem.

I caught myself doing this recently.

I was being interviewed about the material handling business my husband and I own, and the interviewer asked me about our revenue.

As I started talking through the numbers, I realized…

Holy shit. I 5X’d the business.

And I hadn’t really celebrated it.

Were there still growing pains?

Yep.

Were there things I needed to figure out?

Absolutely.

But I had allowed everything that still needed work to overshadow something pretty freaking incredible.

And that’s the problem with constantly moving the finish line.

You can create the exact results you once wanted and STILL feel like you’re failing because you never stop long enough to recognize them.

Celebration isn’t about becoming complacent.

It’s evidence.

Look what I did.

Look what I figured out.

Look what I survived.

Look how differently I handled that.

Look what I’m capable of creating.

Because your success leaves clues.

And when you actually acknowledge what is working, you can start recognizing the patterns that helped you create it.

That gives you evidence to bring into the NEXT thing you want to create.

This is something I work on with my private clients because creating the life and business you desire isn’t only about identifying the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

It’s also recognizing all the evidence that proves you’re capable of closing it.

You can desire more AND be incredibly freaking proud of what you’ve already created.

Both get to exist.

So before you move the finish line again…

What are you celebrating?

Tell me. Seriously.

Drop it below or message me.

Big or small—I want to celebrate it with you.
