I recently challenged myself to stop complaining.

I recently challenged myself to stop complaining.

It wasn’t because I was complaining a lot, but enough that it was draining my energy.

The truth is, I was choosing to complain even though I really don’t have a reason to complain.

It would be little things, like the trash being full, dishes in the sink, more laundry to fold, etc.

It was the little things that would build upon one another and “all of sudden” my good day would feel bitter.

Since starting this, I have noticed a few things…

•I am way more grateful.

•I have more patience with my children.

•I am slower to speak- so I’m more intentional with my words.

•I am waking up happier.

Complaining is a choice.

Gratitude is a choice.

But their effects are drastically different.
