I am enough…
“Mom, what does that say?”
I turned to my 7yo daughter and said, “It’s reads, I am enough.”
She looked at me perplexed and asked, “Enough for what?”
In that moment, I was reminded that “not being enough” is taught and it’s something I am so grateful she hasn’t learned.
And I turned to her and said, “I am enough to be, do, and have whatever I want.”
“Oh” she said.
And as I stood there, I leaned into my enough-ness and saw myself through her eyes. The eyes that truly believe her mom is capable of all things and everything. The eyes that love me unconditionally. It was in that moment, I felt so deeply loved as God loves me.
Not me trying to prove that I’m enough for love, but that simply because I am, I am enough.
