Look at how someone spends their time…

Look at how someone spends their time and you will instantly know their value system.

This is often a hard pill for people to swallow, but it is an awesome indication of the truth. And one I use regularly, to gauge whether or not actions are aligned with my vision.

Because the truth is, if it’s important you’ll find a way, if not you’ll find an excuse.

For me, I value my health and so I spend time shopping for and preparing home cooked meals. I spent time exercising and prioritize a good night’s sleep.

My values determine my decisions whether I know it or not.

When I feel like life isn’t going the way I want, I check in first with where I’m spending my time and conversely what my values are. It’s a dead ringer for what’s “blocking” me.

When my clients are struggling with creating what they desire, I walk them through this exercise…

  1. What do you want to prioritize? What do you feel is not getting your full attention?

  2. How many hours a week are you currently working? And how much are you currently making?

  3. How much time do you need to stay on top of home duties?

  4. How much time do you want to yourself

  5. How does this all compare to your current situation?

  6. What does your ideal week look like?

  7. What can we shift first to turn your current reality into your ideal life?
