And that used to make me feel unloved.

I could have let this build resentment and whittle away at our relationship.

Instead, we compromised.

He buys me plants or bulbs instead of fresh cut flowers and now I have garden beds full of gifts that keep on giving.

And I buy myself fresh cut flowers whenever I want.
