Not every goal requires a deadline.

Not every goal requires a deadline.

Some goals can be achieved with check-ins.

I know, we’re taught that goals without deadlines are just dreams, but when was the last time you performed well under an immense about of pressure?

if you’re like me, deadlines don’t always serve you well.

Sure, in school I “thrived” under deadlines. There were many times I wrote papers hours before they were due. (I actually tested this theory once, but that’s a story for another day).

But now, I’ve learned that not all my goals have to have be S.M.A.R.T (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time sensitive). If fact most of my goals are long term, that I simply have checkins.

For instance, I have the goal to create generational wealth, but there is no specific time in which that thing will be achieved. It is something I continue to build on regularly. And my check-ins look something like…

•What did I learn this week about wealth and how have I implemented it?

•How is my current relationship with money and wealth?

•What additional ways can I learn about in order to create more wealth?

Much like the laundry, some of my goals can never be fully checked off the list, so why would I create pressure around something I want to enjoy creating?!
