Along with all the lessons that came.
The first thing I remember buying as a child was this cute little squishy purple hippopotamus purse.
I remember the first time I saw it at the store and I begged my father for it. He said no and told me he’d help me save up some money and then I could buy it.
After a couple weeks, which felt like years, we headed back to the store with my money and much to my surprise the purple hippopotamus purse was on sale!! So not only did I get my purse but I also had money for something else.
This little story instilled so much in me…
I could achieve anything I committed to.
The wait is totally worth it (this is an ongoing lesson for me)
