“Show them. Not to prove your worth, but so they can see what they’re capable of.”
“Show them. Not to prove your worth, but so they can see what they’re capable of.”
I had been living behind closed doors, not just to the world but to my children.
I grappled for time alone- by my fireplace with my thoughts, on my yoga mat, running, swimming, biking- alone. Because I didn’t want the interruptions, I didn’t want their judgement or questions. I told myself I was recharging, but in truth I was hiding.
So I opened the door.
I allowed them to see me journaling with God, my workouts, the things I juggled throughout the day. Not so they would shower me with accolades, but so they could see what it takes to create a satisfying life- the tears and the laughter. The heartbreak and the joy. The courage and the confidence.
Sometimes we need evidence to begin believe in ourselves.
I’m here to be your evidence - you can be a present mom and live a fully satisfying life. You get to have it all not in spite of being a mom, but because you are a mom.
Because as moms our capacity for greatness is unmatched.
It’s time to love yourself, not just for your kids, but because it’s great for the world.
