Working for someone else never gave me the freedom I wanted.

Working for someone else never gave me the freedom I wanted.

So I decided to work for myself, but unlike many entrepreneurs, who hustle and grind from the start, I chose to do things differently.

I started my business when my kids were very young, so I really didn’t have 60+ hours/week to work (nor did I want to). I started with what was manageable given the rest of my responsibilities.

Which at the time was about 10 hrs/week. It took me about 18 months to grow my initial business to $10k months. And while my income has fluctuated over the years, I’m glad I’ve continued to show up for myself and my clients.

Even now, as a wife, mom of 4, owner of now two businesses, and a college professor, I cherish my time freedom.

My schedule is flexible because that’s how I want it and while, some weeks are busier than others, I know the growth will continue with consistency and not burnout.
